Sport Remains Steady At Ivy Lodge Throughout The Mild Winter

We hope you all had a fantastic Christmas and we would like to take this chance to wish all of our members a very happy and prosperous new year with high hopes of personal best catches and new records broken.

Fortunately the frost has kept away for most of the winter so far with the lake only being frozen over completely once. (Stephen has also confirmed he will break any ice that is preventing anyone from fishing a peg by doing a dance in his ice skates!!)

Most visiting anglers have caught fish every day throughout the winter months including January Tench (a very rare sight and only at Ivy Lodge!)

Best tactics seem to be method feeder and small pellet hookbaits fixed via a small baitband and fished towards the Island where a lot of the fish seem to be holding up.

Everyone is reminded that all rigs must be carp safe to avoid anymore fish getting injured or killed. Anyone that is unsure of how to set up these carp safe rigs, please don’t be afraid to ask. (this is easier than receiving a warning or being banned)

Rig checks will be happening on a regular basis.

Members are reminded that all membership renewals should be paid in full by the 28th of February 2015 as the membership is now at capacity with a large waiting list in place. After this date any current members that have not renewed will have their place allocated to the next person on the waiting list.
