Welcome to the July – August 2013 Ivy Lodge Carp Fishery catch reports and updates blog. We hope the blog will interest you and help to keep you up to date with what’s happening on the banks.

All Members please feel free to send us your pictures and catch reports and we’ll try to add them to the next monthly reports blog. As well as your reports we’ll be contributing our own catches from sessions too.

New Stock Arrived

Ivy Lodge has received another stocking of 250 + mirror and common carp to add to the already growing stock levels.

New Record Broken

Well done to Darren Halley on breaking the best catch record with 55 carp and tench up to 5 lb in one session.

Other recorded catches: Nigel McKinney 46 carp, tench and golden tench.

Robert Colhoon 45 carp, tench and bream with carp to 9 lb all on the pole.

Nial O’hanlon 41 carp and tench including a carp at 11 lb on the pole.

William McCaleenon 20 + carp and tench on the feeder.

Maurice Meaklim 26 carp and tench on float fished corn.

Fishing pals Ronnie and Caroline Thompson and Mervyn and Linda Taylor have also been catching well on their recent trips with carp and tench up to 5 lb.

Ivy Lodge wishes to thank everyone that took part in the recent charity competition and attended the barbecue to raise money for Jo’s Cervical Cancer Trust.

The total amount raised was £435.00.

First place went to Darren Hannah with the 2 largest fish a carp and tench of 3 lb 10 each.

Second place went to David Sterrit with a carp at 3 lb 4 oz.

Ivy Lodge would also like to thank Kingsway Butchers Dunmurry for supplying the food.

NGT and WSB tackle for supplying the prizes for the competition and the raffle.

Ivy Lodge Fishes Very Well In August

Recorded catches include Frankie Orr with 20 + carp and tench to 4 lb.

John Tucker with 25 carp, tench and bream on float and feeder tactics.

Robert Wilson with 30 carp and tench up to 6 lb on the pole.

Rab Willis and Willy O’Neil have also been doing well with carp up to 8 lb.
