ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL YEAR AT IVY LODGE
This winter got off to a cold start with the lake freezing over in early November which made the fishing very slow for a few weeks. Thankfully the cold snap was short lived and December has started off mild and the fish have woken up again with a good stamp of fish being caught up to low doubles.
The POLONI BOILIES from Bait-tech have been producing the better fish, single pop ups and small p.v.a bags seem to be doing the business. The method feeder with the fishery pellets is still producing lots of bites.
All members are reminded that we have a few new rule changes this coming year.
Minimum breaking strain line 8lb.
NO FISHING A ROD AND POLE AT THE SAME TIME.
You may still fish two rods providing they are on a sturdy bankstick or pod set up with baitrunner or similar reels.
All rods must be purposely designed for carp/coarse fishing and fit for purpose.
No spinning rods, beachcasters, pike rods and no carp rods over 2.5lb test curve.
Please also ensure that your reel size matches your rod and no big pit reels. If you are unsure please ask.
Pole elastic 16+ and stronger for the margins.
No leaders of any type. All leads and feeders must be able to discharge in the event of your mainline breaking.
No entry to the premises before 8am unless arranged in advance.
Guest tickets must be booked in advance.
Only one guest ticket is available at the weekends on a first come first serve basis. This must be booked in advance. If you book in a guest and don’t turn up (without notifying us well in advance) you will still be charged the £12 the next time you are out this applies for mid-week to. This is to keep it fair for everyone and not to over crowd the lake.
All our rules are in place for a reason you don’t have to like them but if you wish to fish here please abide by them and if you are unsure or need any help please don’t be afraid to ask.
DATES FOR THE DIARY
The fishery will be open right through the holidays apart from Christmas Day.
All Members are reminded that their membership must be paid by the 28th Feb 2017 as we now have a very large waiting list and it is first come first serve so any places left by the 1st March we will start contacting people off the list and when its full its full.
The fishery will be closed for one week from the 6th Feb to the 13th Feb to allow the netting to take place and the lake to settle down again.
The shop will still be open over this period.
That’s another year over and we would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your trade and support over the last year and to wish you all a
MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR!
